The resort landscape is stunning, surrounded by charming backwaters and a beautiful beachfront. My sister and I enjoyed cycling through the area and took part in thrilling activities like fishing, making our stay memorable. Our room featured a lovely swing bed that added to our relaxation.

In my wife’s opinion, the food quality could really improve.

The hospitality is truly top notch, especially with a shoutout to the staff who welcomed us with that typical Indian warmth and attention. The breakfast spread was great with some amazing Kerala dishes that I can't get enough of.

It was a bit pricey, but given the experience, I woudn't say it's unreasonable.

The stay offered a wonderful retreat with spacious, luxurious rooms and exceptional service from the staff, especially Sharan and Arun, who were attentive and proactive. The infinity pool was a highlight, alongside delicious grilled meat options at the restaurants, all set against a serene landscape. However, improvements could be made in providing better beach loungers and more accessible sun umbrellas.

Just a great fit for a weekend outing in Bekal Town with extraordinarily good value for money. The food was incredible, especially the seafood platter that my partner couldn't get enough of. Make sure to ask for strong coffee at breakfast. they remember your preferences!

Staying here was an absolute treat, especially with the stunning backwaters less than a 5-minute walk away and the beautiful Kappil Beach just almost 2 km down the road, perfect for casual strolls or relaxing after a day of exploring. the staff truly exemplified top-notch hospitality, which enhanced our already enjoyable experience.

I loved walking to the beautiful nearby chandragiri fort, just a short stroll of about 600 meters, and enjoying the stunning views of the serene backwaters which truly enhanced my stay. the warm welcome and attentive hospitality made it feel special and memorable, perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway.

food quality was disappointing

The luxurious private plunge pool in my villa offered an intimate escape. The serene backwaters surrounding the property create a peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to beat.

However, the villa felt a bit run down, as I struggled with a thermostat that wouldn’t cool down my room, making it uncomfortable to sleep. The poorly maintained fridge was another letdown, as it barely functioned. Additionally, some spots in the room showed signs of neglect, with dust lurking behind furniture. The outdoor space could really use their attention too. regular mows starting at 8 AM interrupted the tranquil vibe. Lastly, the dining experience left much to be desired—uneven food quality seemed to be the norm, with certain meals being pleasantly surprising one day, only to disappoint the next.

Woke up every morning to the serene sounds of nature—the birds chirping and the gentle rustling of leaves. The staff treated us like family during our stay, making every moment special.

However, the air conditioning struggled to keep up, making our nights a bit uncomfortable despite the beautiful surroundings. A little maintenance could enhance the experience further.

Staying at the Taj Bekal was fantastic! The serene surroundings really made me feel at peace, and enjoying moonlight rafting was such a unique experience. However, I did find the food quality a bit disappointing. Overall, a memorable getaway in Kerala.
